Develop the marketing leaders
your growth depends on.

Coaching for marketing leaders and leadership teams.

Three Ways to Work Together

Some challenges belong to one leader. Some are shared by several. And some come from how the leadership team works together. Each calls for a different kind of coaching.

1:1 Executive Coaching

One leader, working privately on their
own goals.

Group Coaching

Several leaders, each working on their own growth, learning alongside peers who face the same challenges.

FOR CMOS, VPS, AND RISING SENIOR LEADERS

1:1 Executive Coaching

Private, focused coaching for one leader. It’s the right fit for a leader stepping into a bigger role, leading through change, or working through challenges that are too personal or too specific to take on in a group.

How it works: Every engagement starts with a 360 assessment and conversations with the leader and their sponsor. Together we build a coaching plan with clear, measurable goals, then meet on an agreed-upon cadence, usually for six months, with progress check-ins for the sponsor along the way.

Leaders often come to coaching to work on:

  • Strengthening their leadership disciplines, behaviors, and beliefs

  • Making the shift from functional expert to people leader

  • Getting results through others by delegating and empowering, instead of micromanaging

  • Building trust and psychological safety without lowering standards

  • Stepping into an expanded role or leading through change and disruption without burning out

  • Managing up, influencing stakeholders, and building strong professional relationships

  • Juggling competing priorities and making time for strategic work

FOR LEADERS WITH SHARED CHALLENGES AND INDIVIDUAL GOALS

Group Coaching

Group coaching brings together leaders in similar roles or career stages to work through common challenges. Participants don’t need to be on the same team. A cohort of rising leaders, for example, might focus on developing talent while applying the learning to their own teams.

Each leader leaves every session with a 30-day action plan, and the next session starts by reviewing progress.

Leaders gain the benefits of personalized coaching, plus the shared learning, encouragement, and accountability of a trusted peer group. Organizations gain a scalable approach to leadership development grounded in day-to-day work.

Format: Monthly sessions of about two hours, offered as a six- or twelve-month program, with optional monthly 1:1 sessions for each leader. Each program is tailored to the participants’ individual goals and informed by 360 assessment results and sponsor input.

Topics are tailored to each group and may include:

  • Leadership disciplines, behaviors, and beliefs

  • Stepping into bigger leadership roles

  • Engaging and mobilizing your team

  • Developing talent and future leaders

  • Leading through change and disruption

  • Building your powerbase of strong professional relationships

  • Communicating with clarity and impact

  • Strategic thinking, planning, and problem solving

  • Prioritization and time management

FOR EXECUTIVE MARKETING TEAMS & DIRECT REPORTS

Team Coaching

Team coaching helps a leadership team build trust, work through conflict, make decisions that stick, and hold each other accountable for shared results. It’s designed for newly formed teams, teams experiencing unprecedented growth, teams coming out of a reorg or acquisition, and teams where leaders protect their own function more than the whole.

How it works: Every engagement starts with a team launch, typically a two-day offsite, where the team connects, sets its development goals, and creates a team charter. The charter captures the team’s purpose, key goals, and values, plus clear agreements for how it will make decisions, handle conflict, and hold each other accountable. From there, we meet every four to six weeks to work toward those goals, put the charter into practice, and work through the dynamics that slow the team down. As an option, I can also join one of the team’s regular meetings to observe and give feedback in the moment. We close with a final review to celebrate progress, capture what the team learned, and plan how to keep the momentum going.

Signs a team could use it:

  • Meetings stay polite, and the honest disagreements happen afterward.

  • Conflict turns personal, and leaders argue to win instead of to solve the problem.

  • Priorities conflict, and teams compete for the same budget and people.

  • Decisions stall or get reopened.

  • Roles overlap in some places and leave gaps in others.

  • There’s no shared vision the whole team is driving toward.

Indigo Leadership’s Coaching Process

Good coaching feels like a great conversation. Behind every conversation is a plan, built in four steps.

01

Discover.

I learn about the leader, the team, and the business through conversations with the leader and their sponsor, plus the assessment that fits the goal, like a 360 assessment, CliftonStrengths, or DiSC.

02

Define.

No coaching starts without clear, measurable goals. Together we build a coaching plan focused on what’s limiting performance or potential, and the sponsor sees it too.

03

Coach.

Every session opens with a progress check and a defined goal, and closes with actionable next steps. Sometimes that means practicing a hard conversation before it happens. Sometimes it’s the inner work of moving past a limiting belief.

04

Optimize.

We track progress against the plan, adjust when something isn’t working, and measure where leaders landed against where they started.

For leadership teams, the same four steps apply to the team as a whole, with shared team goals and team-level measures.

Results You
Can Measure

Twenty years in marketing taught me not to start anything without a measurement plan. I hold coaching to the same standard.

Every engagement starts with clear, measurable goals agreed with you as the sponsor. You see the coaching plan, get regular progress check-ins, and get a final readout comparing where your leaders started with where they landed, using measures like follow-up 360 assessments, engagement and retention, and the business outcomes the plan targets.

Let’s start with a conversation about your leaders, your team, and what’s getting in the way. If we’re a fit, I’ll show you how we’ll get there and how we’ll measure it.
